This picture is a painting that was done as a commission by the amazing artist, and friend, Deanna Marsigliese.

I wanted a portrait of my dog, Carol, for my husband's christmas present and she chose to include me in the pic.

Carol is wearing the turban that was made for her when I had a turban party. It was a turban instructional lead by Brianne Moseley, who also made Carol's turban.

Carol has always hated hats but she wore they turban! She looks resigned to the turban but slightly still happy:

Deanna chose to put me in the most recent caftan I had bought and a stylized interpretation of the doll arms necklace that I bought from the artist Anne Sophie Cochevelou.

I don't smoke but I think the holder and cigarette were added to convey glamour AND she used gold leaf for the lit end. So gorgeous.
